DAVE WARNER'S from the SUBURBS 50th ANNIVERSARY TOUR THIS OCTOBER

It's incredible to think it is 50 years this October since `suburban rock' smashed onto the world music scene with the debut Octagon concert pictured below.

Howie Johnstone played drums on that gig, and legendary Perth musician Jim Fisher guitar. Howie will be back for the 5-city tour and Jim will be a special guest at the Astor in Perth.

Howie isn't the only original Suburb in the band. Tony Durant who played on the original London demos in 1976 and then joined in Aus in 1978 will also be playing his usual brilliant guitar. Paul Noonan from Mugs Game/Free Kicks and Phil Bailey from This Is My Planet will share bass duties. Regular Suburbs since the 80s Lloyd Gyi, Nicole, Bill Beare, Dick Haynes will also be appearing some of the time, as will Haydn Pickersgill (Scapa Flow) from the first working Suburbs band. New Subs Phil Bennett and Sam Musca will be adding to the brilliant team of musicians. And there are yet more special guests at specific gigs.

The Astor finale in Perth will also feature a stint by Pus my original band 1973-5. This will be the first time we've played together in over 50 years but Nik Geronimus, John Negroponte, MJ Feeney, Jim Fisher and Howie with burst once more like a fresh zit.
